Elect the Dead is awesome. He is an absolute nutter, but his vocals are fantastic. I've watched a video of Chop Suey live though, and he sounded aweful!

I like both bands myself (FNM & SOAD).I just don't think they sound at all alike which is what I thought you were suggesting.Yeah agree Faith No More were certainly pretty unique (especially for their time) and certainly influenced many bands which followed after them.Think it's very hard for any band to create a totally different sound to anything that you have previously heard but I always thought System Of A Down sounded very different to most other metal bands around at that time.Although a lot of their very individual sound could probably be put down to Serj Tankian's vocals.I really like his solo stuff as well even if he is clearly as mad as a box of frogs !.

Did they? I don't think 'being influenced by' is ripping off, they've said themselves that FNM influenced them, though now they mostly say they're not influenced by anyone to sound original. I'm just saying that I prefer the FNM style and songs to SOAD that's all, there's plenty of room for both though...

I mean, FNM influenced so many other bands from the late 80s through to the mid 90's anyway, they certainly didn't start the alternative metal/progressive metal scene but they were a big part of it along with bands like NIN (another band I love the sound of, at least their earlier stuff)

Yet again, a controversial offside decision. Can't blame the officials, but it was definitely offside for Forlan. 1st leg of the Liverpool game - Benayoun had a goal disallowed which would have put us through in the end. Surely video replays must be brought into the game. Can anyone think of any negatives for using video replays? I can't.

I'm having fun. Attempting to get through 2 lab scripts and a tutorial work in one night so I can go on the pool social tomorrow. Got the corner-friendly Fulham-Atletico match on in the background.

You guys think System Of A Down somehow ripped off Faith No More ? (have I got that right or were you referring to RATM ?).Tool are the band probably most often compared to SOAD but they have never really done it for me TBH.

Chris,yeah System were very poor live when I saw them.Like I said they seemed like they really couldn't be arsed :(

Not sure what the current metal boy band thing is all about ?.Seen the likes of Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon and thought they were both terrible.
