I'm at a loss here Hmmm:
1. Nowhere can I see where Butch mentioned 'email iphone instructions'
2. These are the instructions that my son followed
3. Where are you coming from? What update?
4. Only Freeola Services is called Web and Technical...right
5. and Wecome to you too...
:¬)

Freeola Services & Support - welcome to the forums :¬P

Sounds like your guide might need an update?!
[s]Hmmm...[/s] But it's the ' connected to your wireless router at the time' that I like..this makes sense to me and probably not to him, but I shall advise and report back....if that's acceptable?
DL :¬)
Thanks for the 'heads up' .... I'll copy/paste it then :¬D
ps Being rather 'yokel' about this Hmmm, where is the 'Freeola Services forum'? Do you mean 'Web and Technical Chat'?
:¬)
I would also make sure that the phone is connected to your wireless router at the time as, in my experience, the iPhone can be a little picky in how quickly it times out checking these things via a 3G connection.

Hi DL,
IMO a new post in the Freeola Services forum would have made more sense!?! There's plenty of room for 'new posts' and the discussion may prove useful to others and easy to find in the future!
I've just setup a client's iPhone4 today but I've used Gmail for various reasons. Hopefully pb who is both a Freeola customer and iPhone owner will be able to advise if others don't beat him to it...
[s]Hmmm...[/s] My son has had problems setting up an iphone 3GS for his freeola email account. Having followed the 'iphone guide' he is still unable to send or receive his email.
Apparently, on completion of settings, the phone begins a verification process....it seems it will not verify either incoming or outgoing settings...but these are correct as per the guide:¬(
The port setting mentioned in the guide, can only be changed after the incoming and outgoing settings have been verified...which seems feasible....but seeing as they aren't, it can't be done:¬(
Has anyone successfully set up an email account on an iphone 3GS and if so....how did you do it?
Thanks, in advance, DL
Taking my eldest to a 'mixed martial arts' class tonight so she can see if she like it.
