Are you allowed to add one of your Freeola email accounts, perhaps just temporarily to see how you get on?

Hi pb,
perhaps you could try setting up a Freeola email account to see how you get on?
Strange you had problems with Gmail, I've set up quite a number of Gmail accounts on iPod Touch's, iPhone 3's and now an iPhone 4 and it's all done in a flash(sic)!

Many thanks Butch, have relayed the info to my son and we'll talk later...I wasn't implying that the guide needed 'an update' but after reading it and hearing my son's explanation, I did think 'bits' were probably missing...but you can't encompass all :¬)
As for Hmmm...well...we all 'love him' really and the Forums wouldn't be as they are, I think, without his valuable input and 'observations' :¬)
I am aware the iPhone guide is missing a line or two regarding the SSL option, it is on my 'to-do' list.

That isn't an 'official line', but it is something that I have learnt from experience setting up my own (and customers) iPhones.
