Yeh, that's for HM; if anyone else can guess what it is, I'll eat my hat.
I had a good night out with friends last night (although being beaten up by the 13-year-old female cousin of one of them was a bit embarrassing ...)
The journey home was rather interesting though. An oncoming car cut a corner on a narrow stretch of road and almost hit me. I instinctively reacted and swerved out of the way and into the high kerb. No collision with the driver (who happily drove off - although to be fair, I don't think he knew what he had caused to happen). The result? A nice blowout.
Luckily managed to get it to a car park about 10 meters away and got it all sorted. No torch, pitch black (no lights) and full of adrenaline 9and quite shaken), I thought I'd make use of the RAC membership. It did take me about half hour to find the number to call. They were there with 10 and got everything sorted. Brilliant guy as well.
I think I got ripped off at the garage though. That and a service booked for Monday, my student savings fund has taken a bit of a whack :(
Ah well - weekend!!! Has anybody anything interesting planned?
Another day starts and we're off to a piano lesson for my eldest.
Epic Citadel on iPhone.
Amazing.
Back at home working today, Monday and possibly Tuesday as well. Lots going on.
At least I've now got Bus tickets for the next 6 weeks so I'm ok to go into the office again.
@ W666,I would recommend checking out Serj Tankian's solo stuff if you liked SOAD.I like both,I much prefer Serj's solo work to Scars On Broadway (Daron Malakians 'other band') Empty Walls & The Sky Is Over are top tracks.
@ Hedfix, sadly have to agree with you over Maiden being a let down in recent years.Went to see them a few years ago and they played the last album in its entirety with only a couple of classics tagged on at the end of the set.Soulfly played at our town a couple of months ago and parked their tour bus right in the middle of a busy street on double yellow lines. There was about 20 parking tickets plastered over the windscreen, good luck chasing Mr.Cavalera for that !.Saw In Flames @ Taste Of Chaos last year, they were amazing, one of the very best metal bands I have ever seen, would really recommend seeing them if you get the chance.
Just had a quick listen to the new Stone Sour album,it's a lot softer than I was hoping it would be,couple of good tracks on there though,Mission Statement is great.Going to see them next month, looking forward to that.Shame Avenged Sevenfold are touring with them as I've seen them before and didn't care for them at all.
Back in Tiverton for a change. Haven't been to this office for months and don't plan on coming back as they're shutting this office down to relocate everyone to Exeter.
I'm happy with this, Exeter is a much nicer office and we'll actually have set desks instead of having to remember to book our desks two weeks in advance to ensure we've got somewhere to sit.
Anyway, I've got the car at least which may mean a trip out to McDonalds at lunch time (for free coffee rather than a meal) and maybe Tesco to hunt down a copy of Robin Hood POT Blu-ray while it's on the £5 offer, no one seems to have any copies at the moment.
