I'm really hoping that too...though would be nice for some unlockables...Super Mario World...the Super Mario Land series (even if they are emulated) and so on.
But there's still 3DS for that I suppose...
I will say that you may need to be a fan to get the most out of it but it could be accessible to the casual player. I'd have to test a few things out to find out.

Even though I'm not a big F1 fan think I'm going to get this myself as it looks a decent racing game.MotoGP 09/10 & SBK X were both crap so suppose I'll have to go the dark side !.Had a watch of some gameplay footage of F1 2010 on You Tube and it looks pretty good apart from the Geordie race engineer,he sounds like the bloke who narrates on Big Brother. As long as he doesn't go ''Day 3 and Lewis is flat through Eau Rouge'' suppose I can live with that.Be cool if it was totally true to the 2010 F1 season.I'd play as Vettel so I could nick all the best bits off my team mates car ! :)
Obviously Formula 1 isn't ideally suited to that anyway, but...
I like an authentic racing experience so I went for a 7 season career, which is the longest, and then adjusted it for a full race weekend and full race distance.
I do think I have the difficulty level too low as I have done 1 practice session and beat everyone in my Virgin racing car by 2 seconds. I went for the 2nd of 4 difficulty settings. Not sure if they can be customised in the career but they can be in quick races.
The handling takes a little getting used to, mainly because you aren't sure how much grip you have and you arrive at corners really quick. Starting races will be a problem for some I think as it can get a bit chaotic. I've noticed that sometimes the flags for cutting the track can be a bit harsh and I think they are worse on the higher difficulty. I just ran wide a bit and got a warning.
I played it safe to start with on car setups but it was a little confusing on a quick setup because it has 3 sections, wet, adaptable and dry setups. It was Bahrain which is always dry so I had a look at the dry setups and the descriptions seemed to imply that it was going to give me oversteer regardless of what dry setup I picked. I suppose I'll have to try it to see.
I did a quick race around Belgium and some time trials around Silverstone. Tried the wet weather as well. Looks pretty good. The jump from the level 2 difficulty to level 3 (medium to hard) looks like a steep one as the default is manual gears on hard.
Not bad so far though. Looking forward to seeing how a full race pans out.
