Still chucking it down here and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. Plus it feels really cold here today as well, I think because it's still quite windy to boot.

Cracking first half in the Man Utd vs Man City game, Man City 2-1 up but deserve to be further ahead as they are all over Man Utd.

Morning all, how are we today.

Really windy here today and it's been raining all night and is still going strong at the minute.

Still, I've got a great weekend of sport this weekend and it doesn't rain inside! Man U vs Man City and Celtic vs Rangers this lunchtime, followed by Derby vs Newcastle at 5-30pm gives me plenty of football to watch.

Plus there is a great day of Horse Racing at Doncaster with the St Leger later on this afternoon, plus a big day of high-quality racing in Ireland as well.

Tomorrow there is Villa vs Forest on Sky as well so the armchair in my lounge is going to get a lot of use this weekend!

Very strange this accident - there was an accident on the road going over the motorway and then someone was hit by a lorry on the M1 below it.

Not sure how they came to be on the motorway or if they were involved in the other accident, but I saw the report on East Midlands Today and I'm glad I wasn't around that area today!

It would appear that the 'two' are related ... first incident 5.20am single vehicle collision on bridge, police arrive and man dead under same bridge hit by a B&Q HGV ... DIY???

Mega Gridlock this morning from about 6am until 2 pm ... all roads totally at a standstill after 10.30 am. A fatality at our local M1 junction, which is busy most of the time, caused chaos and a couple more accidents as a result on gridlocked roads!!!

Dry here but cool and breezy. I was watching a big spider rebuild his web for the 3rd day in a row. A windy day is not a good day to build a web, if any of you were thinking of doing so.

Showery here, but I've been indoors apart from the morning school run and the one this afternoon, so no problem with that.

I see that F1 has been sold for £6 billion to Liberty Media but Bernie Eccleston will stay on for another three years.

I think there should be a new face at the top as he is stuck in his ways and F1 needs a fresh face with fresh ideas to take it forwards, however he is 85 years old now so whether he'll manage 3 years or not is another thing........

Thinking the same thing. Eddie Jordan pretty much called it the other week, so I was expecting this to happen.
