Yes it is. Dick Dawkings aside, since when do we go around trying to recruit? All we ever do is defend our position when we're challenged on it. I'd quite happily never talk about this subject ever again but I know that eventually I'm going to have to go through this conversation again with the next arrogant person who is willingly trying to undermine my viewpoint.

Anyway, look at it from a different perspective. I know it's annoying having the likes of Jehovah's witnesses knocking at your door, but I'm never rude to them, because at the end of the day, they truly believe they're trying to save my soul (even if I think it's aload of dog's balls), but it's quite nice for people to care that much.

You could have stopped typing after "I know it's annoying". This is nothing to do with caring for anyone because these same people will quite happily condemn you unless you agree with them. They're not looking to save you, they're looking for personal validation.

It's not fair to say that religious believers are the only ones who try and convert people. Everyone would love for everyone to agree with their beliefs (wether it be atheism or christianity or anything else), sadly that's not the way the world works ;P

Really? Richard Dawkins springs to mind, may not be knocking on doors but certainly does it metaphorically speaking. I'm sure there are some fundamental Atheists who would be just as happy to go round to doors and sell their idea.

He's merely taking the same tactic as churches and trying to recruit for his ideas. Personally I can't stand him, regardless of whether we share some common ground. As I've said before, the major point of annoyance for agnostics and atheists are recruiters, in my view it's not acceptable from either side.

Easier said than done with 2 kids. Outgoings are utilities, food, basics, fuel and clothes for kids.

Yet....

I'm quite pleased I stuck up for the Wii from the very beginning (got one at launch). Got the Move at launch and then got Kinect at launch.

Stop blaming your kids, it's all u ;)

(On a serious note I'm only playing, as I know you tend to operate a "cycle of trading-in" )

You need more income and you have kids? Hmmmm... hire the children out to earn some money (which you confiscate). This way they'll not have time to play with games (saving), need entertaining (saving), need so much food 'cos they'll be too tired to eat (saving), will not need loads of new clothes as their work gear will be very hard wearing and keeping up with the lates fashion will not be an issue (saving). See it's a win win situation for you :)

Blimey, I've been a busy bunny lately! I really need to get a job closer to home, or a home closer to job. 15 hour days are non-fun.

I see religion has reared its ugly head on the forum. Sigh... When will god-botherers (of ALL faiths) learn to just live and let live? I have never once heard of anybody knocking at anybodys door to try and convince them to not believe in some kind of deity. Seriously, worship who you like, just allow me the same privilege!

The rest of the universe aren't like that, it's just the few that cause problems, the fundamentalists on all sides. If it wasn't about religion then it would be about something else.
