Nice to have you back for a bit HM....hope all's well health-wise :¬)

Thanks DL. How are things with you?

Healthwise? Who knows. I've hit the point where I'm considering just turning up, doing the basic and going back again. First taste of how cruel universities actually can be the other day. Group work. Compulsory presentation where most people worked in 4's (we were down to 3...well 2...). One very spoilt child demanded she take control, hold onto the files etc and then disappeared for 2 weeks before the deadline. Last few days when we asked where our work was and she'd not compiled it - so 2 of us had 2 evenings to pull it together, only for her to return and change it all. It gets submitted on time luckily, but she fails to hand in her group participation sheet in on time. We were all deducted 10% because of that (she should have had that taken off again as she was at fault). She expresses extenuating circumstances and gets her personal 10% recredited, but the group still lose 10% overall. Next thing I know, she's dropped out of the course. Explained to the lecturer to which I get a reply - "sorry marks have been attributed now, better try harder on the next one"

It's great to know I'm paying for some education and relying on other students to pull their weight as so I can get a grade. What ever happened to individual work!?!

Gripe over.

Still, refreshing at home at the weekend with a 12 hour stint of Black Ops to unwind!

This is true, but the site manager insists on quality so therefore we lose out on quantity.

And now we know what pb's colleagues think of him.... :D

Could they not just get cheaper food and make sure they cover the bases pb?

First come first served seems to undo the purpose of the event in my opinion (imagine it's team morale boosting).

Our staff breakfast on a Thursday has been cut down. Can't complain considering they could stop it altogether but now it's a case of first come first served so as soon as the email hits our inboxes its a mad rush for food.

Of course, there are those that go before the email comes, but they're considered the lowest of the low....

I'm a 'one man outfit' but looks like I'll have to make some staffing cuts soon to make ends meet! ;¬)

Morning,

we have a customer visit today and having just seen the agenda set by the customer for the so-called managment, I'd certainly like to hear to responses. One of their concerns is our staffing numbers since the owning company like a regular round of redundancies... there are a mere 5 of us in today, that will certainly ease their worries.

Morning all.

More GT5 last night. Really have to practice my cornering though.

Still thinking about getting Crazy Taxi even though I have it on Gamecube.

The whole protest is putting me on edge. Saw a girl wearing a t-shirt that said "Education is our right", almost unleashed a dragon uppercut.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
