I don't think I could get away with taking a snow day being as there is still no snow.

They say it's on the way but I can see a Devon sized hole in their weather picture.

I've taken a snow day myself today. Not due to any sort of really heavy snow, but it gives me chance to get the majority of my work done in a long day with very few lectures which would just end up being spent playing pool for the majority of it.

Morning,

another day working at home due to the snow. I say working, with all the schools in the region being closed I get little done.

I should go and clear my driveway at some point but I refuse to do it until there is no more snow. A couple in my street spent the best part of yesterday clearing the road (for the 2nd day in a row) only for the heavy snow late yesterday afternoon to cover it all again.

Morning.

Yeah, 2 Sci-fi losses in one day. Irvin and Leslie

Still no snow here. Freezing though, especially walking to the bus before 7am. Not good when I haven't found my gloves yet. Head is pounding again too, but this time I made it in to work.

Definitely,Empire was probably the best sequel of all time IMO (Toy Story 2 came very close second).

Sad news.

Seen Maiden a few times and they have always been excellent apart from the last time I saw them (about 5 years ago on Matter Of Life Or Death tour) where they were very disappointing indeed.I tried to get tickets for next years show at Manchester and even with the pre-sale link thingy I could not get any decent seats (no standing either ).There are loads on eBay but they are fetching absolutely stupid prices so don't think I'll bother.Seen both Bullet For My Valentine (they sucked) and Bring Me The Horizon (they REALLY sucked) neither did anything for me whatsoever.

I have probably said it elsewhere many times, but I wouldn't waste money on Iron Maiden tickets.

I know that might some blasphemous and people might dislike me saying it, but I saw them at reading like 5 years ago. They were headlining the Sunday night. We left a very fun side tent event with the Zebraheads, and when they got started they just sounded ..... well awful.

Maybe it was a rare bad performance, bad equipment on the night, me being overloaded on copious amounts of stuff I shouldn't have been or just my extremely high expectations. But we actually left the crowd to go back to the tent for barbecued steak and corn on the cob, covered in packet cheese.

Sad for me actually at the time. I remember us all sitting around the fire (BBQ fire - including 6 random girls who had joined us for some reason) agreeing that we were totally deflated.

I'm hopefully seeing Iron Maiden at the MEN next year. My friend who's sorting it out is extremely unreliable though, probably a bad idea to let him do it...
