Morning.

At work for the first time in several weeks. Feels like forever and not long enough all at the same time.

Anyway, haven't had breakfast yet and it looks as if I have 135 new mails to read through this morning. Oh joy!

How would one go about becoming a male escort?

Print out some phonecards, start visiting phone boxes and forget any notion of being fussy. Or maybe that's old fashioned, just place an internet ad.

I agree with that.

I really don't get this SR vs Freeola thing TBH and if I'm honest it does get just a tad tiresome at times.I have been lurking about on here for about 4 years now and I have no real idea why I have done that only that the 'Freeola hardcore' (which is about 10 of us these days !) all seem to be genuinely nice people with whom I am quite happy to talk harmless nonsense with when I have a spare few minutes online.I would be more than happy to see a few more peeps on here,we have had a few new members over the past few months which seem like they are fitting in just fine.On the odd occasion that I feel the need to interact with an enormous bunch of random braindead abusive idiots I can always use Xbox Live ! :)

EDIT : I was not comparing the SR forums to a bunch of 'random braindead abusive idiots' just a few other much larger forums which I have visited from time to time.

Why is it that everytime I bring up an issue, I feel like I'm being branded the forum villain?
I have faith that we can have adult discussions without it getting nasty or descending into name calling. We're adults, this isn't the Disney forum and I'm just not into floating around talking about nice fluff. It doesn't challenge me.

Which came first, forum change or forum exodus?

Is the only question seemingly brought up more than the chicken/egg question.[/i]

I was actually going to say that.
Anyway I've no interest in getting into an argument about it. I agree that once those people left changes were needed but I also wanted to point out that they didn't just decide to leave out of the blue. They left because of the changes that had already been made. We had a great forum, now, not so much.

It all just seemed a bit too much like the recent student riots; you got the feeling that most of the students were rioting because they wanted to riot, not because they had the first idea what they really wanted and how to get it.

Don't agree with this at all. I think there was a genuine affection for the Special Reserve forum and it's why we had a large core group of users who had been around for years, including ex staff who stuck around even when they weren't getting paid for it.
People are always resistant to change when it comes to something that works but the way the forum was restructured, and in particular the PR nightmare that was Tony Rainbird charging in like a deaf bull in a china shop flared things up substantially.
It's been a long long time since I was on PM and I left and came back here because, at that time, the place was turning into a lawless zoo. This place is the polar opposite, I can't say it's any worse or better but I would welcome a happy medium. I'm resigned to the fact that it won't happen and it's a shame, because had things been handled better this could be an awesome place.

Watching Girl with the Pearl Earring. Had to zip back up when I realised it wasn't Girl with the Other Piece of Pearl Jewellery.

Evening Vee,

Been updating website, need to do some more reviews though. Should be going downstairs soon to get ready for first day back at work tomorrow and to munch some chocolate.

Youngest has her first day at proper school tomorrow. She's pretty excited.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
