Extremely happy tonight. Got a conditional offer from John Moores University to study Computer Games Technology.

Excellent news SC :¬) Studying CGT.. to what end?

Just plain interest in Computer Games. It's a sandwich degree (yum yum) so hopefully I can find some work after it's completed. Got to get these A-levels done and dusted first though.

There was a kids show on ITV many moons ago called Bernards Watch. Basically, the watch stopped time around him while he was still able to move around.

Would that be of use?

Hermione has that Time-Turner thing, or does fiction not count?

The weekend has been hectic here, thanks to a hacker, but the plus side is that I have now been given the week off. Means I can focus on the first few 2011 essays due in soon.

Anyway, Afternoon.

Busy weekend for me. Not at work today as I had an appointment at the hospital, which has ended up with another appointment to be made. Nothing major though.

At least I get to update my website, though it's mostly been about messing about doing links to Facebook and working out how the advert systems work.

Need another 48 hours just to write up some pending reviews and get back on top of things, but I'm back to work tomorrow. Anyone worked out how to freeze time yet?!

This might sound like a really basic question, but let's say I bought an ipod touch, would I be able to go around to people's houses and just pike their tunes, or will it only let me sync to one computer?

Yes you can 'pike their tunes'. Set your ipod to manual adding, and you should be able to just drag whatever music you want across. If you sync the entire library, anything that's already on the ipod and not in the library will be removed. It's a stupid system which apple still haven't sorted out.

Not with a Touch. You can grap their MP3s and add them to your own iTunes, but not play anyone else's from their PC.

That is, unless you jailbreak the phone, in which case you can do anything the other MP3 players can do and play all those wonderful games as well.

Good to hear... Hermione Grainger ;)

Thanks Malfoy ;)

And yes DL, for some reason I have suddenly felt my CV is going to actually explode with things to show. I've also been told by a few ophthalmologists I used to work for that just being dual skilled will be the a huge leap (seeming I was an ophthalmic photographer before hand). Hopefully the hard work will pay off!

It's good to be back on here though! I'll try and set it on my browser speed-dial so I don't forget to drop by every now and then.

My website has suddenly created a twitter storm in the optom world - so it's been nice to see a sudden surge of traffic - and the head of the society has asked me to submit an article to the student magazine representing the optometry students.

But just think of your future CV contents :¬)
