Enjoyed a rare pint of Guinness with the Liverpool game. Also spent the afternoon making a guinness cake. Still about 3/4 of it left! Lovely though. Recipe here if anyone wants to try it. It's got a million calories in it though!

Pete, how could you miss out one of my favourite all time films? Abre Los Ojos, which was later made in to the inferior Vanilla Sky.
Los Cronocrímenes is an interesting time travel film with some horror elements. At first it does seem a bit confusing, but it's actually pretty good and explains itself by the end.
Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother) is an interesting film. Probably not one for someone who doesn't like family drama, but the well acted and tightly scripted plot makes it a very good film with some great emotional scenes.
El Mariachi - the original version of Desperado. Just as much violence and explosion, but on a smaller budget.
Y Tu Mamá También - yes, it has sex and nudity in, but at its heart it's a fantastic road movie with some great emotional scenes.
Volver - another Penelope Cruz movie.
