finally gave in and signed up for Playstation Plus. It would have been a better offer had I not already bought Resi 1 but Plants vs Zombies is worth this month's fee alone. The 50% off Resi 4 and Code Veronica swung it for me in the end.

Wanted to make an effort to complete Gears 2 campaign before the kids come home and before Gears 3 comes out. Just didn't realise the time. Up at 6am tomorrow too. Oops!
