Hasn't anyone ever noticed that, on SR, everyone seems to be better than you? That, no matter how good you are at something, a hord of people are always there to be better than you? If you finished a game is 6 hours, everyone else has finished it in 4, and with all the secret characters that you didn't unlock too. If you've got your player on an Online Role Playing game up to Level 16 in a few hours, everyone else had already done that and done all of the primary challenges in that timespan.
Yes, make snide comments about how I must just be crap at games and how inferior I am to everyone else, but doesn't anyone here find it a bit weird that we seem to have some of the most intelligent and fast gamers on the planet here? Doesn't anyone else feel that everyone else just has to be better than them everytime they do something?
I feel that there are a lot of liars on this here site. A whole lot of them who think they are superior to somebody who they have never met before because they can lie about what they did on Saturday night, who they met there and how many times they completed Luigi's Mansion in a weekend.
If there is one thing that really annoys me then it is lying. Yes, I'm all down with pranks and jokes, but what I classify as lying is people who refuse to acknowledge the facts that they just aren't as good as everyone else and have to attempt to deceive people to look big.
That's why I hate my school. Everyone there lost their virginity when they was 13, started smoking even earlier and got laid by the hottest girl in Manchester last Saturday night (of course, after they'd had insane amounts of weed and had drunk 15 cans of carling).
At first I didn't notice, but now I am getting really frustrated at people on the site lying. Maybe your not. Maybe you're all genius' and I'm just being stupid. But for the moment I think I'll stick to my beliefs that you are mostly dirty liars.

Amen to that!

Nope, I joined very recently. It seems like it would be a good place if it wasn't for all the posts complaining about the content of other posts. Ironic that!

But this allows us to sympathise with children. So, for example, regulars can understand that some Newbies may post about something that has already been talked about. You don't have to like us, merely tolerate us and try not to post scathing replys and insults when a Newbie posts something you don't like. Constructive criticism is the key.

I agree, stereotypes suck bottom. The moral of the story is that if certain regulars stop persecuting newbies and welcome them, those Newbies may go on to become darn fine regulars themselves= Voila: added freshness and new, interesting topics to the board. Fresh opinions, fresh personalities, fresh Special Reserve!
Some people are better than me, some are worse. I'm not bothered really. I'm quite intelligent and usually good at games, so no need to alter anything there, but you'll never hear me bragging about laying the hottest girl in Manchester or whatever, because it just won't happen.

You can vouch for it but yet you disagree? I was speqaking in general - if I included every exception I would be here for days, and would still probably forget half of the people I meant to put in. People who use text talk in general are retards.

You joined a long time ago, yar? I may be looking in retrospect through rose tinted glasses, but the past was so much more exciting. maybe it's because I thought i could win GAD with rearded subject. Maybe it's because I thought i was better than you all. Maybe.

Yes, but everyone was a child one time, so how come not everyone loves children? Not all new members use text talk, and I think any of the more intelligent members will admit that - But not every air steward likes men, but every sitcom in America has used that for a cheap joke or 2.
Stereotypes - We all hate them.

I can vouch for that. I type like a monkey, repeatedly bashing its head against the keyboard. My GCSE and A-level results are irrelevant when considering my ability to type!

You obviously havent tried the BBC website forums ;-)
I don't lie, I will readily admit that I can't play games for chocolate digestives and that the only reason I joined was because my brother told me that the 'chat' forums were interesting. I do think that this forum has its share of intelligent, well informed contributers but it counter-acts this with the pretentious idiots that do tend to look down their noses at others. Us 'Newbies', according to these people, have nothing to contribute to this forum and all type using 'txt tlk.' Everyone was a Newbie at one time...
> If there's one thing that SR forum members are not, it's intelligent.
I know this - It's just every member and his dog seem to have got top marks in their SATS, GCSE's and A Levels when they can't even type properly.

Old Trafford, Every other Saturday. (Couldn't Resist)

PS2 being a main one, as well as Chat (partly due to my mindless spam)

Thing is though, I feel I AM good at games. i always thought I was a competent gaming, but this forum made me think twice. Now I've began to believe that most people lie.

Probably both knowing this site...

If there's one thing that SR forum members are not, it's intelligent. I've never seen such a seething mass of complete ignorance in one place before, even on the internet. Not so much in this forum, but certainly in many of the others.
So don't feel bad about not being any good at games. The gap between even the greatest gamer and the worst is never all that big, especially on console games. If someone finished game X in a week and it took you three, they're either lying or spent three times longer per day on it.
