SR - A place of hope and happiness. A place where you can get free games just for writing stupid ideas. A site filled with eager writers just waiting to be found. A place full of liars and deciet.

Hasn't anyone ever noticed that, on SR, everyone seems to be better than you? That, no matter how good you are at something, a hord of people are always there to be better than you? If you finished a game is 6 hours, everyone else has finished it in 4, and with all the secret characters that you didn't unlock too. If you've got your player on an Online Role Playing game up to Level 16 in a few hours, everyone else had already done that and done all of the primary challenges in that timespan.

Yes, make snide comments about how I must just be crap at games and how inferior I am to everyone else, but doesn't anyone here find it a bit weird that we seem to have some of the most intelligent and fast gamers on the planet here? Doesn't anyone else feel that everyone else just has to be better than them everytime they do something?

I feel that there are a lot of liars on this here site. A whole lot of them who think they are superior to somebody who they have never met before because they can lie about what they did on Saturday night, who they met there and how many times they completed Luigi's Mansion in a weekend.

If there is one thing that really annoys me then it is lying. Yes, I'm all down with pranks and jokes, but what I classify as lying is people who refuse to acknowledge the facts that they just aren't as good as everyone else and have to attempt to deceive people to look big.

That's why I hate my school. Everyone there lost their virginity when they was 13, started smoking even earlier and got laid by the hottest girl in Manchester last Saturday night (of course, after they'd had insane amounts of weed and had drunk 15 cans of carling).

At first I didn't notice, but now I am getting really frustrated at people on the site lying. Maybe your not. Maybe you're all genius' and I'm just being stupid. But for the moment I think I'll stick to my beliefs that you are mostly dirty liars.

it was a joke... as in snipers... for the spamming... no. well, i think its not the best forum but to note it as bad is harsh. anyway, this is the first subject in this forum that has provoked me to make a serious comment. the rest of the stories just bore me. and the "moral issues" threads are terrible. again i say this is the first one that has provoked me to reply sensibly.

so youre the one we need to pick off

personally there are times when lying is consequential and times when it doesn't matter. the times when lying is bad far out weigh the possibilities that the lie does not matter. i try to lie as little as possible, but sometimes its hard. there are people who can lie and couldn't care less. i find that impossible to do. its obvious that people have different levels of morality. i agree that there are lyers in the forum, but you dont know who they are. you decide to wheteher to take in their information or not. life is full of decisions, lying is one of them. believing a lie is another.

The solution to all of lifes problems: Sarcasm.

And I'm not being sarcastic, or now does it sound even more like I am being sarcastic?

This is hard.

People need to know that they're better than someone.
Even if they're lying to themselves - they just need to have something over someone else.
Most people are so unsure of themselves and everything around them they need to made more secure. And they do this by dominating others, whether it be physically, mentally or emotionally - this gives them some kind of reassurance that they're not the complete morons as a lot of people seem to think.

And lies usually come down to jealousy. If you've done something good, there's usually someone who's done it better - quite often fictionally.
And a lot of the time, you know it. When you've done something good, then someone struts over and says they've done it 100 times better, you know they're lying, they know they're lying. But they just convince themselves otherwise.

It's just the need to feel greater than others. Most people have it.
I don't only because I don't care about very much, least of all what anyone's done better than me. But I'm sure I would if I lived differently.

Just give them all the praise they want.
"Well done! You did really well!"
With a hint of sarcasm. Guilt gets to the best of people and, very often, to the worst.

Meh.
People, as a whole, are idiots.

He posted once by mistake, as did you, apparently.
Not talked to Tóm much. Well, never, but he seems an okay kinda chap.

Just to freak him out tell him that i have undying love for him and want his babies. Go on...

I often feel like i am too arrogant - I used to be quite, but recently i feel i've become overly confident and stuff. I often look back on things I have done and feel ashamed o myself.

My opinions are often worthless to start with - they usually change from week to week depending on how I feel. One moment i could write a 1,000 word review on the pleasures of Starfox adventures and the next i could write a 10,000 character review on how I hate it. I'm just that kinda guy

Tony Blair has gotten my support during this war - he's stuck to his guns and his my opinion of him has risen for it - anyone else would have just gone with the public..

Survival of the people who have got the best put downs and can make themselves look threatening online don't you mean? People on the internet who think they are hard are usually overweight, bullied retards in 'real' life (but isn't the internet real? Shouldn't this be real life too? But that's another subject...) who want to vent their anger on someone 'lower' than themselves.

Is 'sniper' another name for 'Tóm'? If yes, then yes, if no, then no! Has Tóm been posting on my account by mistake? Hmmn will have to check that one out!

Sometimes that's not always a bad thing. Being closed minded is all very well, but you can come across as arrogant and then the opinions that you value so much get ignored by others so you will end up being isolated and unhappy! If nobody swayed to peer pressure, we would all be like George Bush. If we swayed too much to peer pressure, we'd all be Tony Blair. Reach a happy medium!

No, because I think he posted on your account by accident...
Well, your brother did...

I checked just after you posted and saw - only 25 days! Everyone seems to be abusing post content this week - one of the notables must have done it, so everyone else just HAS to as well.

Everyone on the forum claims they are single minded while, in actual fact, they are swayed as much by peer pressure on here as in real life.

I'll readily admit I suffer and buckle under peer pressure, but it's people who don't who are stupid.

I'm not too good at constructive criticism - all I end up doing is abusing people and making them angry. maybe it's just me..?

But people think it is cool to put other people down, especially those who are different to them. Abusing newbies is a form of discrimination - If a new member made the same posts SHEEPY does every week then they would be hated forum - wide.
