So America drops a bomb.
On Americans, Kurds and John Simpson.
*shakes head*
The war isn't *just* about the bombing.
> No, it's definitely a coalition.
How many countries are bombing them?
> ...to a degree.
Nice to see some sanity, for a minute I thought you were going to completely agree.
I agree with FM though, to a degree. It only takes one Iraqi fighter to stand in front of that hotel and fire an RPG, and all hell will come down on that building.
On a less serious note, the reporters are sitting right in the middle of a warzone, they must have known that if they're going to report on a war on location that their lives are going to be at risk.
Question: Do we really 'need' all those reporters there, do they provide us with a valuable service, or are they risking their lives to satisfy ratings?
Their guy at Central Command said "Coalition forces received fire from the lobby of that hotel, and returned fire."
Two things:
1. If they received fire from the lobby - why did they return fire at the 14th floor?
2. Why is it that, whenever they achieve something, it's "US forces have..." - as in "US troops have seized 2 of Saddam's palaces". Yet when they c***-up, like shooting a hotel full of reporters, it suddenly becomes "Coalition forces have..."
Hits, and they all go
'YAHOO! YEAH!'
Ride 'em cowboy! Or maybe that was the A-10 pilot.....
> I bet after the bomb fell John Simpson tried to pull his face off and
> turn into Richard Blackwood.
Lol! :-)
As for the missile friendly fire, I'm not really surprised, after seeing some of the footage, a lot of the American's seem very hyped up, they just seem to shoot anything.
