I been saving £20 a month in a seperate savings account for just over 3 years now. Doesnt seem like much, and i hardly notice it in my monthly spending, but this month i have finally hit £1000 in that account. feels great :)

Just goes to show how little things can make a difference.

This is basically my savings account for me to buy a supercar(well, a VX220/maybe a Astra GSi turbo). Got a while to go yet...And i'm working an extra shift at work over the summer so perhaps i'll start saving £30 a month.

Very nice work Ortega. I must say put a couple of pounds on the Irish lottery, as I normally gain loads of money from that.

I normally pick 2 numbers (4 and 7) and then 3 numbers (4, 13, 19) and put £2 on each. If the 2 numbers come out, I win £66, and if the 3 numbers come out I win £500.

I find it better winning on that, than football. =D

I got the same too, about 6 years ago I set up a savings account to save for the god of all motorbikes - the Ducati 916SPS, and calculated how much I'd have to put in every month so I'd have it on my 30th birthday, the year I would be able to afford the insurance. It worked out at about a tenner a month, and i never noticed it go.

Annoyingly, they don't make the bike anymore (replaced by the 999SP), and there's enough in the account to get me a mint second hand model, but I still can't afford the insurance!

Nice one. I admire anyone who is able to save money, it does take a bit of determination to do such a thing (unless you happen to be loaded that is) and I hope that the £578 brings you joy (I have to take a cut as I am a gangster and you are in my Manor).

Enjoy.
