I'm not the greatest of drawing-type-people, but here's a drawing I did last night of a character... he needs quite a bit of work... um, well, this is more the character he turns into instead of the character he starts out as.

http://grix.users.digital-crocus.com/wolf.jpg

Just thought I'd upload it and show you all. Any drawing-type-people who can give me any tips on rendering and stuff?

I have a theory.

Grix cannot draw wolf toes.

In order to keep this from us he drew it knowing that he would run out of paper at the bottom.

I think it's pretty cool though. ;o)

It's all down to motivation... I don't believe in talent. I don't really think I'm any good, but I practise and learn from life how to notice things... but it's really down to motivation. If you're motivated to learn, anything is easy.

And it's getting easy to actually motivate myself to do anything... which, to be honest, rules.

Petula Clark - Downtown.

Love that song. :0D

Can't draw? Bull.

If I could draw half as well as that and half as well as what I've seen from you before Grix, I'd quit writing and change to drawing to express myself.

I'd love to be able to express myself through drawing, singing or writing and playing music, but I can't. I can't draw at all, tone-deaf people actually wince at my singing and I simply haven't got the motivation to learn guitar. All i can do is write. You on the other hand can write, draw and you play guitar, it doesn't matter that you're not Picasso or Jimi Hendrix, you've got both of those talents, and those are things others would kill for.

Not entirely sure why the rebuke, but still... :-)

He made you clean it up, what kind of a sick person is he, normally they would of just got a cleaner to do it, it would of made me through up again if i saw my own sick...

You got that right.

Though I'm not good at pictures like that either, I just draw cartoon characters like Kat Head, Melon Head, Beef Head and Sparham (my characters)

Nice drawing - I wouldn't even have the patience to draw that! Let alone the talent!

Use 2B, 4B and 6B pencils to make it super-dooper nice.

Give the image a light source (dont draw the sun or a torch on your page, just think theres a light source coming in from an angle somewhere) and then imagine where all the areas of shadow would be and shade.

Erm... look at those cheap books on "How to Draw" or something to see how body features should be drawn with the construction lines etc.

Thats if you wanted a stunning picture, but what you got there is pretty good.

I might scan my drawing of my dads motorbike.

Hmm...
