I think my ps2 is broken as it keeps making weird noises and it ocassionally says cannot read disk. It has also damaged two disks when I tried to play them. This used to happen very rarely but now happens all the time. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it? Will it be covered under the sony 1 year warranty and will they replace the damaged disks? Please Help

Mine did that the moment I first got it pre-ordered. I had to swap it for a new one because it was totally nacked. I'd be very alert.

My PS2 has been scratching my disks recently, so I phoned the helpline (08705 998877), told them the problem and they said I should post the scratched disks to be resurfaced and I payed 65 quid to exchange for the newer versions.

My PS2 has recently started making whirring noises but nothing bad has happened.....yet.

As for you; your PS2 will be covered by the 1 year warranty if its still under 1 year old (strangely) but I doubt they'd replace the disks because, even after your computer wrecked the first disk, you put another one in!

Just do yourself a favour and get it fixed by a pro.

If you bought in in under a year, the SONY warrenty will definatly cover it, and they should replace the discs as well. This happend to me very recently, unfortunatly I am past the one year mark with my PS2, so SONY won't do naught about it. Plus, I think it has something to do with dust...

Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
