That said, once the troops go in, I for one will be supporting them. I'm anti-war, but I'm a patriot, and only a fool would want his own nations troops to get killed. Hopefully, this is one of the last times our troops will be used to lend an air of legitimacy to an unelected oil spiv's machinations.
Tony Blair
Both can't really prove their cases against or for a war adequatly.
Thus I will have to pick the most responsible one. A mass mob of protesters, 80% who spout out a load of rhetoric that is just as bad as that from the government or a man who while has faults also has determination, international responsibilities and relations to maintain and has the nations security forces giving him information. Sorry but I cannot support an unruly mob made up largely of students who have little or no responsibility outside their late coursework assignment. Stereotypes I know but I have to support a side I know where my bread is buttered.
If you are anti-war then fell free to attack this response, I shall respect your views to my fullest and I hope you will respect mine.
Thankyou.
History books at school always have a similar opinion when in England. An example is South Africa and apartheid - the view of that is that the government were a bunch of racists, and it was great that it all ended. I agree with that, in part.
I'm curious to see if the book of the future will call Tony Blair an ignorant b**tard or the world's saviour. Or the whole event may have no significance to schoolbooks.
They ignore other nations with horrific human rights records (ever since Saddam suddenly became a tyrant) and just go for this one. To protect us......from terrorism?
I'm confused, angry, and like Goatboy said, I don't want to be painted with a brush just because I am British.
Adam Ingram... a right Blair brown-noser
My dad had a massive argument with him when he left the Labour Party in early 90's
When he writes my letter when I'm 18 to urge me to vote letter I'm going to reply reminding him of my dad and tell him to shove his vote right up his backside
Leave us that want to alone to talk amongst ourselves.
And if you want to see repetition, go count the amount of posts about which console is better.
sorry if I seem a bit harsh but it's true

Nah, they've let most of them out free with the advent of the Good Friday agreement.
But I can't. Instead I'll sit in front of my telly and watch politicians condemning Saddam, then dropping bombs on everybody but Saddam, and weeping crocodile tears for all the innocents killed. But not to worry, I'm sure the Sun will publish a cut-out-and-keep Union Jack for me to wave while I'm about it.

I was going to say something along the same lines - there is no proof of anything he has, and also Blair can't be proven right on whether we should go or not - it's a matter of opinion.
