I think Slipknot are awesome, and I'm tired of trendies who put them down all the time because they shout rather than sing properly. I think that all of the members are very talented, especially Joey Jordison who, in my opinion, is the best drummer in the WORLD!! I think that Mick and Jim are excellent guitarists, and the other two percussionists are cool as well....so is Sid :)
I think all of the songs they have released are excellent, especially Left Behind, that's always been a fav of mine.
I picked up the Disasterpieces DVD a month ago and I've been watching it non-stop every since. I think it's awesome, it's crazy!
All of the songs they perform are superior to any band I've ever seen live. They've got so much energy live it's unbelieveable. I've got both albums now and I think that both are phenominal, I listen to them all the time because nearly all the songs on each album are good.
My favourite songs are Purity because I like the chorus, Eyeless because I like the verses and it's speed, I am Hated and Spit it Out because the verses are very fast and I think Corey is good at singing fast. I also now like Disasterpieces because on the DVD they perform it really well. There's an excellent shot of the two guitarists in the Heretic Anthem and the two solos (Sid-DJ and Joey-Drums) are just mesmorizing. I definetely recommend the DVD to any Slipknot fans out there. I've just recently seen them unmasked from some images I downloaded from Kazaa, I think that Shawn looks a lot different to what I expected. He kind of reminds me of the Comic Book guy in the Simpsons but with the mask on and performing on the drums he seems totally different and really crazy.
I also think that they shouldn't split up after the next album (that's what the rumours are) because I think that as a band over the last few years they've just got better and better, and they deserve more fame for being daring enough to challenge all music fans with their style of music. Slipknot are definetely one of the best rock bands around and I hope we see more of them for a while. My favourite members are Corey and Jim because they are also in Stone Sour, another favourite band of mine.
As you can see I'm a bit of a fan and I would love to talk to someone about them :)
Pheew, I'm tired lol
I knew about the third album it's just that I knew there was never any chance of me getting it and many people having it so I just left it out.
I really do want a Slipknot mask! Only, I'd be kind of embarrased to go up to any member of SK and talk to them while wearing it because all of the masks on sale look like s**t.
I'm really happy for you that you touched Chris's nose, that's something I always wanted to do, I think he's really funny because he just stops playing half-way through a song and then for no reason at all he jacks his nose off!
If I go to the Leeds concert this year, Slipknot are definetely the band I want to see
There was a kid about a meter away from me who said. . .
I saw them last year and they do kick so much as* I was almost crying with excitement before they came out. They did what they do at the beginning of their show on the Disasterpieces DVD where they just play the beginning of the song for ages and then they all just appear from behind smoke. They absolutely ruled.
It was at a music Festival I saw them and so they were at a signing there. My friend and I went there 4 hours early and sacrificed seeing bands like Reel Big Fish and other great bands I'd love to have seen live. Anyway, we got there about 4 hours early and there were about 100 people ahead of us which weren't so bad. Then as the time got nearer, all the FU***NG A HOLES WHO I AM SOOOOOO PEED OFF WITH, started pushing in.
In the end, Slipknot came out half an hour late and so many people were trying to get to the front we missed them.
GOD I HATE THEM PEOPLE SO MUCH! ! !. My friend and I sacrificed SO much to meet them and they just walked off as we neared the front. I was so blinded with rage for most of the day after that until I saw them and that made up for it.
As you'll notice if you go to a real Slipknot concert, there are about 15% of the people that are wearing masks. I only saw about 5 people with masks at the festival. I was one of them. My friend and I were right at the front of the barrier to the left. Chris Fehn#3 ( Mr Pickle nose) saw me with my mask on at the front and was the ONLY member to come off stage and he came right up to us. I grabbed his nose which I was happy with.
Also when he was on stage, it got to a bit where he was not playing and he stopped, stared in my direction, pointed at me ( I'm SURE of it) and then gave me the finger. That was before he came off stage. There was about a metre away from me when I had my mask on who said "I'd be well embarresed if I was him" I turned and sure enough he was looking at me. I just gave him the finger and carried on and thought well any real fan would understand. Thats how much I love them and their music. I don't care if I look stupid, when am I ever going to see these people again ?
NEVER.
phew
Ask them if they like slipknot and they say
" yeah I like left behind"
No I asked if you liked Slipknot, not what songs you heard of.
Fools.
I also hate little kids who thing they're good because they got a People=***t hoodie, I just laugh at them lol
It's 30 seconds long, and it's necessary you find a copy.
They're a band you'd only listen to when your in an "angry music" mood, Extremely talented aswell.
But I hate the fact that kids are walking around with Slipknot hoodies everywhere, as it thinks that makes em "cool"....
