The situation is this:
My third year project for my degree course involves using a genetic algorithm to evolve an AI for playing a particular game called 'Shuttles'. If you know much about genetic algorithms, you'll know running them can be very heavy duty stuff, in computational terms. Being written in Java doesn't help things much, either.
So... due to my PC being somewhat underpowered (600mhz, 256MB SDRAM), and rather prone to spontaneous crashes, it would be extremely helpful if there's anyone here who could help me out at all.
I'm looking ideally for anyone with a high end PC who doesn't mind leaving it running overnight, and preferably isn't likely to use it for anything very strenuous in the near future.
Helping me out would basically involve me emailing you a small program. You'd then just have to run this program, and leave it running in the background until it's done, or for as long as you can otherwise manage.
The more people who can help me out here the better, and I'd be very grateful to anyone who can.
If you think you might be able to help me out, either reply here, or contact me via MSN ([email protected]). Thanks.
I've heard nothing from you guys for a few days now. Any news?
Gentlemen, start your engines...
I blame your parents, even if they were drunk.

No offence :).
