He can also "read" peoples minds. He just analyses their facial expressions and reactions to his questions he asks them.
Tonights epsiode was the start of a new 6 part series, following on from 3 stand-alone hour long shows he did in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
Tonight, he managed to convince three medical students they were suffering from toothache, made one of their hands go numb and got them to sick a hyperdermic through it, guessed 9/10 times in a row which hand (left or right) a crowd of people would randomly choose and in a segment from his last show made an advertising duo make an advert for an imaginary company.. exactly as he had drawn.. using painstakingly prepared subliminal messaging.
Definately worth watching next week. 10.30 Fridays Ch4.

No, we're talking about your "opinions"

That is shown by the hoards of other people leaping into this barney we're having.

How does me giving my opinion provoke you to insult me, if you call that an insult.
You see, we are not arguing about Derren Brown now, we are arguing about your opinions, which no-one cares about. I am not the greatest being in the universe, can't remember saying I ever was, but I'm a damnsight more sexy than you. So lick my nipples.
Now my opinions being decent are simply a matter of opinion in themselves, so just because you don't agree with or like my opinion doesn't mean that other people don't or wont be interested.
The world doesn't revolve around you, ye know. And the sun doesn't shine out of your ace.
We have got a little off-topic, methinks.
If you had some valid opinions apart from "all the people are fake" and "let me express my opinions", then I would be bothered to argue further. Maybe if you had some decent opinions to express I would listen.
I have only this to say: "I am bigger than you. Get in my belly".

Well if so, I'm not spamming, am I? I have added many lines of text to the quotes that I have replied to, so I have no idea where you get that ignorant assumption from. You may not like my opinion, but you have no place to insult me about it.

Not really. 9 out of 10 isn't particularly impressive to me at all. 10 out of 10 would make me wonder a little, but it's so obvious that it could all be staged, with all the people being planted/paid by Derren Brown. I'm sorry, but I just find it hard to believe in it. Scrutinise me if that makes you feel better, but I, along with all of you, are entitled to my own opinion, regardless of whether you care about it or agree with it. I'm just stating the truth here.

Stop confusing the matter by rambling about me restricting your opinions. And copying huge chunks of text and adding half a line of text is spamming. So stop.
Yes, that makes him look very un-impressive, being able to tell someone about the sports they play and dogs he owns by touching his hand....
You're just digging yourself into a deeper hole.

If he got 9/10 when it was a 1/3 chance of him getting it right, then I might be slightly more impressed.

Perhaps. Or perhaps just a way to cover his fault :D

I'm making relevant replies to the subject at hand, so I don't see what I'm doing wrong. Methinks that you're getting cranky because I am one of the few non-believers of Derren Brown. Now, you and I are both more-than-entitled to our opinions, so please do not try and restrict mine.
Thank you very much.

The advert and and strippers were segments from his 3 hour-long specials. All other bits are new. :P
And, no, your not psychic. :P :P
