His new series was on tonight. He was as amazing as usual. If you haven't heard of him, he calls himself a "phscological illusionist", and plays tricks with people's minds to make them do things and say the things he wants them to.
He can also "read" peoples minds. He just analyses their facial expressions and reactions to his questions he asks them.
Tonights epsiode was the start of a new 6 part series, following on from 3 stand-alone hour long shows he did in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
Tonight, he managed to convince three medical students they were suffering from toothache, made one of their hands go numb and got them to sick a hyperdermic through it, guessed 9/10 times in a row which hand (left or right) a crowd of people would randomly choose and in a segment from his last show made an advertising duo make an advert for an imaginary company.. exactly as he had drawn.. using painstakingly prepared subliminal messaging.
Definately worth watching next week. 10.30 Fridays Ch4.

To get the most out of the show (assuming you haven't already seen the parts that have previously been shown) is to suspend your disbelief and just to watch, just like you'd do whilst watching a film.
Sure he could be faking it all, or he could be a very clever man with expert knowledge in reading people either way I don't care as long as the programmes entertaining.
Its like with magic, you know that its an illusion, you might even have an inkling as to how it was done, but as long as its entertaining who cares.

Its similar to watching bond films, you know that the villain won't kill bond the first opertunity he/she gets and at some point will give away their fiendish plan. Again who cares as long as its entertaining (previous theory does not apply to 'Never say never again')

I've seen both episodes in the new series so far, and I have to admit that I though that second one was kind of boring and dull (for the tricks that he did), and I payed less attention.
I've seen most of them before - like that one with the boxers.

And in that first episode, you can clearly see that he isn't some super-natural being who can read people's minds, or anything quite like that.
He looks for slight reactions and sign given off by bodilly movements when asking them a question, to know if he's right or not. And notice how he only ever asks questions... Some of which would be asked by anyone else in that exact same situation.

The one with the hands was funny to watch, as he got almost full marks. But that's just about being clever, and knowing how the people on the other side are going to react, after what the last one did. And he did even get one wrong, to prove this.
But how he knew all that stuff about that man, just from holding his hands, I do not know...
But I know from experience that you can smell Jack Russles on your hands. And they do smell distinctly different to any other dog.

And it was all about 'subliminal messaging', before hand, with the designers.

And now you are a hypocrite, calling me a spammer, but then quoting my post when yours is directly above it. And how do you know that nobody cares about my opinions? Have you taken a survey?

And yes, I am quoting you to be ironic.
