This all stems from yesterday when someone made a comment about my smile. Now the person who made this comment hasn't got much ground to say anything about my pearlies but he did anyway.
How does everyone here handle insults about their appearance? I tend to put it down to jealousy. Lately, I've been quite popular with the girls in our local and I think this person who said the comments is a bit put out about it.
What do you think about it? Am I right in saying that personal insults are wrong? You can insult someone about who they are/how they act but not about how they look.
I don't know why I took offence really but it just seemed a bit silly and it was as if he was trying to really offend me when we've always got on so well. I didn't respond, just laughed it off. Meh.....
You shouldn't have laughed at his comment, you should have just looked away with a 'er...your a bit stupid' expresion look on your face.
All of which is a long way of saying: I don't think it's insults that are so much the problem but people's unwillingness to apologise.
People do nothing to deserve lucks, luck i guess. I don't judge people on looks... although it seems to be that a lot of attractive people are stupid and I hate them.
I dunno
Beauty, eye , holder
Errr no i dpon't insult looks

The whole point of my post was to try and say that I would never issue a personal insult to someone, even if provoked. I think it's petty. You can't change your looks (well, not most of them).
All in all, in situations like that, I always come out the winner. Insulting them back would just be making me as bad as them.

Who me?
I would never say anything like that to him. I do think that though, obviously.

Nah, I just laugh it off. People do it all the time and it's usually the same people which is why I think it's a jealousy thing.
