When people insult you about your looks? It may just be for a laugh but I've always believed that personal insults are a big no.

This all stems from yesterday when someone made a comment about my smile. Now the person who made this comment hasn't got much ground to say anything about my pearlies but he did anyway.

How does everyone here handle insults about their appearance? I tend to put it down to jealousy. Lately, I've been quite popular with the girls in our local and I think this person who said the comments is a bit put out about it.

What do you think about it? Am I right in saying that personal insults are wrong? You can insult someone about who they are/how they act but not about how they look.

I don't know why I took offence really but it just seemed a bit silly and it was as if he was trying to really offend me when we've always got on so well. I didn't respond, just laughed it off. Meh.....

It makes me laugh when people say things like, "Yah I love Korn and Slipknot 'n' all dem hevvy bands", and then proceed to try and laugh at my long hair.

Ignore other people.
Listen to 'Beautiful' by Christina Aguilera.
Not that it'll perk you up - the personal harm you will cause yourself after listening to one of her songs will make you think how lucky you were to look how you did before you heard the song.

I will never cross you again. I apologise profusely for anything I may have ever said to offend you in the past.

A) Laugh it off.
B) Pull out a machete/Beretta 9mm/Desert Eagle 5.0 and kill them/ maim them/tease them by putting in one bullet and clicking the trigger - Russian Roulette.
Hope this helps! I don't recommend the second method, by the way.

That is option number 1 in my book. Please Note: I dont have a book.

Always have a few sayings that are good in almost every situation of everyday life.

1. Look at you, I say no more.

2. Look whose talking.

Think of some yourself and please share, I can never have to many.

oh, I thought of another option.

Your fat. Your right, I am.

If someone insults you, laugh it off but if they continue do one of the following.

1. Think of a reply. eg. Your fat. Only where it counts.

2. Insult them back. eg. Your fat. Yeah but I'm not stupid.

3. Start a fight. eg. Your fat. *smack*

4. Insult their family. eg. Your fat. As is your dad.
(warning: Make sure family members are alive)

5. Run away and accept defeat.

I tend to go with laughing it off but if problems continue I go for number 1.
