The physics of it are astounding. The surface pressure required on either end of the bar decreases rapidly as the inner structure collapses, thus causing mega-finger-trap action and much swearing at a chocolate bar!!!

Have you noticed you can never get your mouth over once piece and bite... the jaggy bit goes right up into your brain.
