Can someone please tell me which of these two cards are the best for value, now i know the most expensive one is better but is it worth extra dosh for it. im looking for a a pci graphics card as i dont have any agp slots my self.

What one are you going to upgrade to and when, also would you consider buying second hand?.

I'll point this out before anyone else does, there is no such thing as a socket 470, did you mean a socket 462 for the athlons or a socket 478 for the Pentium 4 northwoods?.

you say i shouldnt be upgrading or buying stuff for my pc! but i managed to upgrade it a lot!

80gb 7200 hard drive running with my old 20 gb
384 sdram (256+128)
Cd writer 48x24x48
2nd cd writer (had this one for years,paid 150 for it too 4x4x24)
Celron 633(as you know)
2 1.1 usb(built in) and a 2 usb 2.0 (pci card)
On board crap graphics
Lan card
oh and i cant forget my optical mouse!
Socket 370 100mhz motherboard ( i need to upgrade this to a socket A or 470 ,new procesor and new case really )

What is the spec of your PC at the minute P4_MAN??

I know you have a 667MHz Celeron, but how much RAM, size of HDD etc.

lol i did..... in the old days well my parents did but this time im buying the one that is worth it.

i dint exactly pay thousands for it

He only has PCI.. my old, old PC is about 4 years old at least and it has AGP weirdly..

I agree go for a GF3 TI, better than a GF4 MX and they are cheap now around £70-80 on dabs.

I've had to really research GFX cards that i know alot.... but anything else im not sure..
