I never watched signs. It had Mel Gibson in it, and he wasn't playing someone mentally unhinged.

Signs lost all its tention as soon as you see the little green men running about.

Did they look camp? Or just pathetic?

I could go on for a long time. I've seen a lot of films, and most of them were pretty good. Some I like because they're amazing works of film (Gangs, Deer Hunter), some I like because I loved the book (LotR), some I like for brainless comedy (Dogma, Mallrats) and some for the feel-good factor (Waterworld - again, do not ask why)

Bloody hell, have the majority of people here never seen a film made before 1990?
