I know you must get this alot on your forum from new pc gamers who know **** all about pc's but here goes. Will Half life 2 work with a radeon X300 SE Hyper memory graphics card?

You can't play Halflife 2 then, it's far to low.
ok ok my CPU is 400Mhz and i just checked my RAM is 512MB so know could you plaese tell me if this is ok so i can stop looking like an utter prat if at all possible.
Earlier he said he has 512mb. I thought he meant the graphics card was 256mb (even though HM/TC cheat)?

No it doesn't. It's a HyperMemory card. I suggest you look up HyperMemory and TurboCache. At most the card will have 64mb of physical VRAM, otherwise it steals system RAM over the PCI-E bus. ATI and nvidia are using this technology to make the low-end cards more cost effective.
HL2 will run okayish in 800x600 with no AA and trilinear texture filtering, so it'll work, it'll just be jaggy and the textures won't be very sharp.
