Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the Internet or insert the removable media on which the file is located, and then try to play the file again.
How could I stop this from happening, and getting the videos to play?

Have you tried turning off your firewall? I think Microsoft also have some good support forums on their website somewhere, people there might be able to help.
I did last week, and have had problems with a few sites. I paid £1.50 via SMS at:

...to listen to a preview of the album before I bought it, and I got the same error. After contacting them with the problem, they were unable to resolve it, and refunded my money.
Seems version 9 is not quite bug-free yet. Typical Microsoft!
