Ok, whatever.
So why have Rumsfeld and Jack Straw come up with the idea of "immunity from prosecution should Saddam step down and leave".
Isn't the point of this whole thing to stop him, to prevent him ever being able to threaten world peace again?
Why let him go elsewhere then, with zero comeback?
"You're evil Hussein"
"No I'm not"
"Yes you are, we're going to stop you"
"No you're not"
"We will. You must be stopped"
"Why?"
"You're evil"
"So kill me"
"Alright....actually, you could just go somewhere else and we'll leave it at that"
"But I thought I was evil?"
"Yes but if you leave, we can install a pro-Western leader and use Iraq as a foothold into The Middle East"
"What, like you did with me before?"
"Yep"
"Hmm....nope"
Personally, I'm only using this forum as a break between decent ideas. The Half-Life threads will pop up maybe once a week for the next few months. It's actually quite a long story, and I have no problems with anyone knowing that it is me who writes it.
But I'll tell you why I used a different account - to see if ANYONE would read it properly. With me, Insane Bartender, I could guarantee that it would be read, but as some nobody, as I greatly suspected, it was ignored.
Not that that is a problem for me, since the whole idea behind the experiment was to investigate how much "reputation" leads people's eyes.
I'll carry on writing, and I'll carry on using two accounts, just as you'll carry on banging your head against the wall exclaiming how much you hate all the duplicity in the world and impotently battling against it all.
Such is life. Though personally, I believe that already this year I have made myself a better person through a renewed mindset and outlook on life. I have renewed my ambitions, and am taking steps to achieve them. I have little to complain about, a fact I've ignored for the past year.
Remember he got arrested here and everyone was excited that he was finally going to put on trial BUT
" No he's a friend of Margaret Thatcher and is too ill to be put on trial "
WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?
I use this forum for one reason only: To pass the time whilst at work - hence my non-appearance over the weekends.
Perhaps I should use another log-in to post things I write but fear the reactions and hide behind an alias?
> I don't understand
Nor should you care. As you've said on so many occaisions yourself, do you really think your little voice matters? And what, may I ask, besides writing on an internet chat forum are you doing to combat the hypocritical actions of half the world's might?
Nothing, I'd guess. And nor could you. Even if you hate the government, there's nothing you can really do about it. You won't even get a realistic chance to vote against them for a few years yet, and even then, you're battling uphill against a country populated by media driven lemmings.
Even your continued resistance against the reactionary Daily Mail is essentially píssing in the wind, since nothing you could ever say or do will change the way a paper with so much money behind it is run.
On a critical level, I have to say this is why you aren't and never will be a politician. You want the world to be not only honest, but morally sensible and responsible. This is just witless imbicility.
In a media driven world, the general population is not unlike most women. If they hear anything which could be taken two ways, one of which is both bad and the incoreect way to take it, then the woman will flawlessly choose the bad option every time, and start jumping up and down like a lost kangaroo.
So, while it's all well and good to point out your stunningly marvelous insights into the governments shadowy shenannigans, your efforts are generally wasted and someone as gifted as yourself should really point your talents elsewhere, where they might be of more use.

Trouble is they played it too early./
