Man United may be on the verge of signing Klose?

I'll give him credit for his goals in the World Cup but give me a break he's not good enough to play along side Van Nistelrooy.

C'mon Alex buy someone like Kluivert!

......slightly offside.

Gudjohnson's goal was better. Some say it will be a contender for Goal of the season. (i.e. andy gray, richard keys, mark Hughes, Ray Wilkins.)

Pop for all the forlan haterz

He's proved that he is a big game player. Sinking Liverpool and Chelsea (twice)

Oh, and a nice assist for Mr "cant play in the premiership" Veron.

If you want me to rant about someone else then Carlton Cole. He's better than Forlan, and is only 19. But I was using Rooney as an example as everyone knows him, not everyone knows players like Cole, Forsell, Rohan Ricketts, Robert Huth or Mellor, whoi are quality young players that get no recognition.

Are we forgetting that Rooney is young? And scores amazing goals and I'd say away to Arsenal is a pretty important game. Keane chases footballs better than forlan but didn't get anywhere till last week. Zola's twice as good as Forlan and is 36.

Now Ruud isn't exactly the sort of player to spend 90 minutes chasing around harassing defenders but Forlan is. If you watch him in a game he's always at the defenders heels trying to force them into making a mistake. That's why i think they make a good partnership. Forlan is there getting the ball or making the defenders send loose balls around the place and Ruud is ready to pounce on them and finish with the deadly accuracy we know he's capable of. Solksjaer in my opinion is a super-sub and nothing more. He hasn't proved to me he can play as well over 90 minutes as he does over the last 20

Forlan is quality.

Remember, he's still young too, and will get better given the chance. His work rate of the ball is amazing, and now that he has proved that he can score the goals in important games (I seem to remember late equalizers and winners in recent months) his confidence will be higher, and he'll score more goals.

Err, as stated earlier, he has 8 goals now, a slight improvement on one i think. An 800 percent improvement in fact. And from the way you're ranting about Rooney like he's the best thing since sliced bread, I can tell you now that you know nothing about a players ability until they've played a full season's football. Neither Forlan nor Rooney have done this in england.

Rooney is very impressive so far, i watched a game a few weeks back alough he didnt score and the game was 0-0 it all revolved around Rooney. for me so far the best goal he has scored was the 1 where he pounced on a poor defensive header headed it in between 2 player and then hammered it first time into the corner it was a true strikers goal taking advantage of a mistake, the only problem with him at the moment is he cant keep it going for 90 mins he sort of peters out toward the end.

the most unempresive player this season for me is douf cost £10m all he seems to do is get the ball run a little not really going anywhere in particular and then fall over. i still cant belive some of the sales the houlier made this summer Litmanan went for nothing and Barmby for about £1.7m!! Mellor has also looked impressive recently.

That was a fluke goal the ball bobbled as he hit it and it swerved in. Rooney's goal was pure class, the way he brought it down and killed the ball with one touch, and then had the composure to brilliantly to curl the ball into the top corner, beating Seaman from 30 yards. Even as a Chelsea fan, I am pleased to see Rooney doing so well (hopefully he'll do well for England in the near future) and his goal is a joy to watch.
