From a website, somewhere.
Metallica I really want to see. SOAD I really want to see. Placebo I really want to see. I still have a soft spot for Papa Roach.
But I see what you all mean - there isn't a superband. But then again, it's not like there're many superbands anyway. Radiohead are probably the only one.
Metallica, Linkin Park, Jay-Z, System of a Down, Audioslave, Nickleback, Limp Bizkit, The Vines, The Music, Glassjaw, Jet, Idlewild, White Stripes, The Sights, The Basement, My Morning Jacket, JJ72, BRMC, The Mars Volta, The Flaming Lips
To be honest there are no bands on that list I hugely want to see.
Would quite like to see: Glassjaw, Audioslave, BRMC, Idlewild, Mars Volta, White Stripes, Metallica and I'd prob go to see SOAD.
But none that I'd feel I *MUST* go to see. Seems their trying to appeal to the nu-metal kids a lot this year. Which will spark off mass gang wars between 11 year olds wearing backwards red caps and 11 year olds wearing Linking Park hoodies.
"Linkin Park are way better than Limp Dikzit"
"Fred Durst is a gay chipmunk. Hur hur."

Yeah, that sounds right. I'm pretty sure REM are already booked for the Friday, and they usually leave the Sunday night spot open for a veteran.
Hoping to do Glastonbury, v2003 and T in the Park this summer. Reading looks a bit dodgy, compared to last year anyway.

V2003 looks promising, Foo Fighters, Chili's, White Stripes and Coldplay, all 13 miles from my home :D.
Other rumours (from the net) include
SOAD, Glassjaw, linkin park, and a bunch of others i cant remember. I'll try and find the list again.
Very, very going.
But I'll probably try and go, as long as they have a concrete jungle stage like last year.
Best quote about new-style Metallica from Jason Newstead:
"I challenge Metallica to a show with us in support. We'll destroy them with rock...that band used to be about the music, now it's about court-cases and cases of champagne. Cliff Burton would be ashamed and so was I. The 'Tallica are weak"
