Sorry if people were fooled into this topic thinking it was about book reading. It's actualy about Reading festival...Just wondering what the lineup is so far. At the moment I only know that Metalica are headlining one day.

Metallica?

Best quote about new-style Metallica from Jason Newstead:
"I challenge Metallica to a show with us in support. We'll destroy them with rock...that band used to be about the music, now it's about court-cases and cases of champagne. Cliff Burton would be ashamed and so was I. The 'Tallica are weak"

As far as I know, no-one else has been confirmed for Reading/Leeds.

But I'll probably try and go, as long as they have a concrete jungle stage like last year.

Metallica have confirmed, according to Kerrang.

Other rumours (from the net) include

SOAD, Glassjaw, linkin park, and a bunch of others i cant remember. I'll try and find the list again.

If Glastonbury goes ahead I think REM are headlining first night and Radiohead the second
