Last time I had a Jaffa cake, which admittedly was a few months ago, it wasn't biscuit, but more like a cake-esque substance.

I did this case in Law a while back. Basically you have to pay a tax on cakes but not on biscuits (or vice-versa, i can't remember) and McVities were trying to prove that it was a biscuit (I think) to avoid paying tax...

What was the outcome? Dunno...I simply can't remember. Tales of a misspent youth!

I thought they had biscuit along the bottom.

given that jaffa cakes don't actually contain biscuit, one can only assume they are cakes, PROBABLY WHY THEY ARE CALLED CAKES THEN.

its a biscake.

It would be a biscuit based on a cake.
Maybe they should produce a larger one sold on its own.
