It always bewilders me how people feel the need to celebrate Christmas for over a month. They put the decorations up in November, take them down as late as February in some cases. Sometimes they get left up all year round.

WHY?

There is absolutely no need. Do we celebrate Halloween from September to December? No. I saw some public decorations up on about the 20th of November this year, and though "Jeez...what's the need?" - I got home and lo and behold, my next door neighbour had lights on one of their garden trees.

I think decorations should only be allowed at maximum a fortnight before and a fortnight after (still totalling a month, remember), because there's just no point to having them up longer. Christmas is one day. As far as I'm concerned, the world would be a better place if people asked themselves "Why?" a lot more often.

Maybe they didn't know they were Christmas songs? They are Spanish, after all.

There's a house I see on the way to town that has stupidly garish decorations every year. Masses of them. You can't see any brickwork, windows or roof. And recently there's been a house near it that looks as if it's trying to compete, but it isn't quite as 'good' yet.

Nobody in my street bothers with stuff outside the house, except maybe a picture of Santa or something in their front room window

Our tree is up!

Bloody people across the road, they have lights in their car for crying out loud. And a big, scary flashing Santa.

No, not that kind of flashing.

We put ours up today, we don't bother with much inside the house though.

And what we do put outside, we like to make it a bit of fun. We made our own decoration instead of going out and buying some cheap plastic rubbish. It also means it's a new challenge to add something else to it every year. This year was loads of super bright LEDs in the middle of the tree. All the lights flash using code we made ourselves too. It evolved from one simple star :-)

It's so much better if you make it yourself too, the fun is in making it really.

Wonder what we'll add next year :-)

My dad's putting ours up as I spe- ... um, type

Don't know why, I stopped caring about Christmas eons ago, and I'm the youngest in the house!

We stopped getting real Christmas trees recently too, they're too much hassle. I wouldn't bother getting anything at all, not even a fake one, but hey, I'm just a good ol' Scrooge at heart

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
