"Why Playstation 2's one game worth getting is not worth it yet"

Konami annonced that they are going to release metal gear solid x on the XBOX. It will be exactly the same as the PS2 version with a few extras. This would have been the only reason people that you would want to get a PS2. Wait for the XBOX it will be better i gaurantee. Now I have no reson to buy the PS2. One thing aswell people if you are buying the PS2 for it's in build dvd palyer, DON'T instead buy a dreamcast 3 games and a dvd palyer for the same price. It makes sense doesn't it.

X-Box is a long way off , wont be out till end of 2001 at the earliest. The PS2 will have a good catalogue of games. MGS2, GT3, The Bouncer, Shadow Of Memories, Silent Hill, Wipeout Fusion, Maybe a Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. So loads of good games on a good machine. If people buy the Dreamcast and DVD for the same price they will have bought a good machine as the games iam getting for christmas arent PS2 games but Dreamcast games(Shenmue and MSR). Dreamcast has got a good selection of games and loads more being released. X-Box should be good with its own selection of good games. So what if the PS2 is more powerful than the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast was out Nov 1998 Japan and PS2 Mar 2000 so a year and a half longer the Dreamcast hasd been out so the PS2 should be more powerfull. And the Gamecube and X-Box should be a bit more power than the PS2. Power shouldnt matter its the games.

SSX, yes. But many people would disagree with TTT and TS.

TTT is the best fighting game ever made
TS is the best 1st person shooter ever made on a console

and there al launch titles!!!

You do know, not all sony fans buy there consoles for the metal gear solid series!!!

not all sony fans "buy" the metal gear solid games.

I buy them but it dont mean every playstation sold means 1 metal gear solid title sold. alot of gamers love the Gran turismo series. There are other games. Why would i want to take a step back and get a DC?? I fi couldn't get my hands on a PS2 and i was desperate for a games machine maybe,

thought having a DVD was a silly idea??? whyz Dc's getting dvd's sold with them in bargains now?? to be like sony "yes" You think the DVD's will be better then the sony ones???? right!

What you said abouy Get a dreamcast instead and duh duh duh many games with a DVD player has been posted over and over again in this forum and it's getting boring now!

Also what makes you think that if we get the PS2 we wont et the X-box i'm sure it's not illegal to own to great consoles at once? is it?

Actually the X-BOX version will not be the same as the MGS2 thats a PS2 exclusive. Metal Gear X will be based on the original Metal Gear Solid but with obvious graphic improvements and a few extas chucked in for good measure,
new levels etc.
