you see thats made me happy that Tiltawhirl has agreed with me on something. And I don't mean him bashing his head on the bin takes talent, he just does that for the show, and it's fun to watch, but the way he plays his drums is really good. If you watch him up closes on the Slipknot DVD, he's really good at moving to the right drums as he has like 6 and 1 solid bin which he hits with a metal pipe to make a really good sound for some songs. You can't have the main drummer doing that or making that sound, so you need clown to do it.
I understand that you say they have talent in abundance, and it takes loads of balls to do what they do.
But that's like saying a guy who sits on his arze all day reading the newspaper has lots of talent, and it's a really hard thing to...erm, read the newspaper.
You see? Although you think they DO have loads of talent; I base my thought, not from a 2Pac fan, but from a geneal lover of good music.

Beleive me I read an interview in Kerrang with Slipknot just before they struck it 'big', I know what they're all about and to be honest they're a big joke. Apparently one member never talks because he has too much rage and anger inside him.....excuse me while I explode with laughter. They also said they don't care about image and that's why they wear the masks....yeah great one, that's the main reason their music sells, because of their image. They're like Kiss for the year 2000.

That's one thing i'll agree with you on, the way Corey changes his voice mid song takes talent. Infact I think he's one of the only members who actually posesses talent.

No I haven't got specially trained ears but I love their music so much, I listen to it constantly at work and home. Every time is different, because what I do is listen to say the bass in one song, then listen to the song again but just concentrate on the percussion or such so I can hear the music from different ways. . . if you see what I mean.

From my dads point of view ( and he's a proffesional sessionman) he says and I quote " You need to look beyond the masks and characaters of the people to what drives the bands, good drum, bass and strong vocals does this. Slipknot posses the lot and have got the highest stage presence energy, I've ever seen live. They sell out at every show to maximum capacity so they must be doing something right. I don't like Slipknot but from a proffesionals point of view, they posses great talent. Sure they use lots of gimmicks like masks but at the end of the day, you need to broaden your mind really think about what they're doing"
