The other day, some music was playing on a stereo above our sports hall, in a balcony wherre me and some friends were sitting. Today, by the Smashing Pumpkins came on. I thought 'oh cool'. A girl asked me who it was, and so I said who, and that they, in my opinion, were one of the best bands around. She said 'if they're so good, how come I've never heard of them'.
This really annoyed me. I think it was in an arrogant sense - I felt everybody should know who they were, as their music means so much to me. It wasn't her fault, but I got really pis*ed off inside at that comment - thats what bugged me - her comment, and then my reaction.
Anybody else had somebidy being ignorant of something you love, and having it realy annoy you?

I know the feeling, but I hate it when people are mis-informed and then they start spouting off the wrong stuff, when you know the right thing.
Take wrestling. I know a lot of people dismiss it, but I've been a fan since I was a kid and I find it entertaining. To be honest, my opinion is the only one that counts, because I'm not going to change watching it because someone starts going 'Oh, that's so gay, its just men in pants groping each other'. No it isn't, thats your perception.
People should get the facts straight before they mouth off.

Bands like Anti-Flag and GodSmack are so cool but since they are not that popular people automaticly think they suck. It's not right!!
