Right now, im on with doing my UCAS form you Uni. All of its pretty much done now, apart from the personal statement which i want to try and get done this weekend, as i feel im just a little bit behind with this now.
Thing is, as most people do, i want to make sure its well written, and is going to put me foward well. Only problem is im not entirely sure what i need to say or how to put it across. My 6th Form have given us a little help, but nothing much.
So, since i know a few of the people from SR have been or going to Uni, maybe some of you could give me a few little tips about what to write and how to write ot, or something to that effect, please?
Thanks for any help.

I've said it several times now, and I still believe the personal statement is virtually pointless.
Consider the amount of applicants most universities have to process - most likely upwards of 10,000 for a reasonable Uni, I'd guess. Now, imagine the amount of hours it takes to process that many applications, let alone look at each one in great detail. How much further than your predicted grades do you think they are likely to look? Maybe they'll even go as far as to look at the headteacher or tutor's report about you. Can you *honestly* say that you believe your personal statement will make the difference between getting a place and not getting one?
Therefore, write whatever you want in it. Non-academic interests, achievements, anything.
