Can't help but feel sorry for him.

And now they've left it on a cliffhanger for next series, will he keep his job, what's gonna happen between Dawn and Tim now that Tim's told her how he feels...

Maybe They'll keep Brent, but demote him to working at the same level as Tim and Gareth, with a new character taking over his role. Or, give Gareth his job!

That could be quite amusing.

The big fat accountant and the one who Tim dumped were on RI:SE (I promise I don't usually watch it!) the other morning and they were hinting that Third series was in the pipeline.

I'd say that the way monday's episode ended would confirm that!

"My parents were wondering if you'd like to come?"

"Gee, sorry, but I can't. When is it?"

I thought I heard the second series would be the last. Possibly wrong though.

I thought it was great last night

Not so much the usual 'funny' one but the acting and storyline was really good.

I think everyone felt sorry for Brent when he started to breakdown at the end.

Silly Dawn

The question is, where can they go in the third series? Brent, if he keeps his job, would have to cut down on the silliness (if they are to make it realistic) because he's already been threatened with the sack, and the Tim/Dawn saga is kinda wearing thin - one minute it appears as if she wants him, then she doesn't, and if they keep it dragging on to long it just won't be as good anymore.

I think one/maybe two new central characters are needed to freshen thnings up.

Don't forget this is only the second series of The Office, whereas LOG is on its third. The second series of LOG was brilliant.

The tihng about Tim is that he's secretly happy with his life - that's why he didn't take Brent's job. We've all done it at some time or another. "Oh, I hate my job, I'll go and do something with my life" - 5 minutes later - "It's not that bad really, maybe another time".
Well, I know I've done that.

They offered it to Tim, he turned it down and suggested Gareth.

And Brent got a jacket to match Neil's.

Is it just me or was Neil wearing Brent's leather jacket???
He doesn't deserve it! He's not the "entertainer", he doesn't "make time" for the employees like Brent does.

So is it Tim or Gareth who'll be in-charge after Brent?
That confused me...

I didn't even think there was an episode on at-all last-night. I only realised when I heard that 'Office Silence' coming from the TV in the other room. I nearly missed it! Thought last-week's episdoe was the last due to Brent getting told the bad news.

"Bring the toys"
Gareth snatches up the phone, "Ok...Mm-hm...yep"
"Toys?"
"Leave it"
"Is it Kerplunk?"
"No"
"Boggle?"
"Leave it"
"hungry hungry hippos?"

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Second to none...
So far the services you provide are second to none. Keep up the good work.
