We still don't know why they left and with Locke :/ do you think Jack has made a deal too like blondie? He seems more interested in saving himself now after he saw Kate shagging Sawyer. Which is a shame as I thought they would have made a nice couple.

You'd think by now they would have realised no one's coming for them and started building some proper homes instead of sleeping on the beach and getting covered in sand.
All this time in the sun, they're all going to get skin cancer. If I was on the island the first thing I would look for, is water, shelter than food. And if there were 'Others' and polar bears, then I don't think I'd like to sleep on an open beach.
So I'd start to build some nice huts that can shelter us from the sun and rain.
By day 85, I would have have a giant wooden fort with look out towers an unfinished church and a huge graveyard.

Each season is roughly a month. They have been on the island for over 85 days so far. This also means that its a few days away from Christmas on the island.
No, they originally intended it to cover 5 series. 4 series' is wishful thinking by those that are impatient and think the show is too slow and doesn't reveal anything fast enough.
I thought they were going to end it after 4 series. I hope she dies anyway but i suspect she wont.
If each series covers roughly 3 months then she won't be in trouble until the 5th and final series.

The Valenzetti Equation (sp?)
The equation that was supposed to accuratly predict how long humanity has left, whether we destroy each other through war, fammine or disaster.
The key values of the equation were 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. Supposedly, The Dharma Inititive were sent to the island for it's "properties" and their mission was to change any of these key values.
