I think he`s funny, but he is definitely not the right man for the job. He doesn`t do that kind of humour if you ask me. It would be too radical a change for the program, getting rid of a large part of the audience. They won`t be able to replace AD easily at all, and I guess what they`re doing is saying that they don`t need to replace him with a similar guy, but change the show completely.
Still, even with that aside, as you say, its a bit weird if both have had problems outside of their TV images.
