I just find it slightly hypocritical of Auntie Beeb to sack one presenter for his antics, and consider hiring another who has an equally shady (if not worse) past.

Not Johnny Vaughan! He's rubbish! Never found the guy funny at all. It said on the news that Paul Merton would be taking Angus's place for this Friday - God knows who'll be taking Paul's place. Angus, maybe.
Perhaps the clue to this decision is in the title of the show?
Yes, I think Clive Anderson would be great. He's very similar to Deayton, in that he's a funny straight man - if you know what I mean.
My dad thought Clive Anderson would be a good replacement.
