> WTF is x-box live?
That statement is actually quite shocking, I thought people on these forums were in touch with all things games related. Even if your not a Xbox fan I would have though you would have at least heard of it.
Anyway I'll clue you in.
XboxLive is what could, and should, be the next big thing. Its online via a console, done PROPERLY.
Its broadband only, will be ultra new, fast and built soely around GAMES. Over 60+ games have been announced for it(only 20+ announched for PS2s online), including Halo 2, Unreal Championship and so many big names I won't list them.
ALL xbox Live games will use the voice communicator meaning no stupid typing messages which interfere with the flow of the game. Your voice can be altered if you want to create an identity aswell. Wanna soucd like a touch guy as you frag people? you can.
XboxLive also has a Buddy list a bit like the friends list on MSN messenger. Here you can see what games your friends are playing and invite them you play other games instead, quickly and easily.
Its the way online games should be played and get this, once you have broadband its a mere £40 and that gets you- wait for it...
1 years subscription to XboxLive so you can play your xbox online all day every day
the voice communicator
xbox live starter disk
and 2 FREE online games!!!
Cool huh?
As you can guess there also more to it check xbox.com for the FULL lowdown.
It launches in UK officially in march but the beta testing is in november. Many xbox forum regulars are gonna get a clan going too. Should be great...IF youve got broadband.
