Opinions vary but the fact is that no self-respecting person would claim to support anything but their local team.

Reminds of a time when I was at Leeds Uni after Man U won the European cup. A group of lads walked down the alley behind our house singing "Champ-e-onays" etc in a cockney accent.

Of course, this is all my opinion but I thought that glory-supporting finished when you left primary school......

Heh and I guess that makes Arsenal the 'Fake' French national Football team.

Arsenal didnt play that well but if you watched the game we didnt go all guns and blazes after the second goal and I think that shows that a defeat didn't hurt us that much.

Me? A Gooner - London born and bred. I was referring to Old Trashyard being just outside Manchester.

Man U are a fake all round. They're not actually IN Manchester, and they're not 'united', because there's City. Fools all round, really! :-)
