Yes, and on the basis of recent events and results, they probably are *at the moment*, based on the quality of football they've been playing.

Ask some supporters on here and they will tell you Arsenal are a top 5 team in europe, if I dig deep enough I can find the quotes. Also, Liverpool have done a lot better in the past 2-3 years in Europe than Barcelona, and also, done better in the league. So shouldn't they be there instead?

The comments - again made by the press and TV, not by Arsenal or any of their right-minded supporters - were based purely on the football the team has been playing recently. Hence the words "at the moment" used by (I think) Barry Venison.
No-one (in their right mind) would consider that three straight wins on the back of several disastrous seasons would make Arsenal one of the all-time top 5 European sides.

The comments - again made by the press and TV, not by Arsenal or any of their right-minded supporters - were based purely on the football the team has been playing recently. Hence the words "at the moment" used by (I think) Barry Venison.
