So Arsenal lose to Everton, and Liverpool are top.

Well, the loss had to come at some point. No big deal - a timely reminder that Arsenal aren't invincible.

Enjoy it, 'pool fans. You won't be there for long! :-)

I wouldn't be so sure about that. :)

I don't think that Everton defeating Arsenal was even a possibilty and from what Barry Venison was saying it seemed that it was almost the mentality of the Arsenal players. Quite willing to bet that Arsenal go on another long undefeated streak again though with the return of Robert Pires.

These things always come from the most unlikely teams, though.

I was watching the game on Live Text from Arsenal.com, and it said around 4:30 that Arsenal were looking tired. Considering most of our squad have been out on international duties, that's fair enough.

Please note, I'm not using that as an excuse - it's simply a statement of fact.

And Liverpool's win today was flukey! ;-)

Flukey? Hardly, we murdered Leeds :)

Granted, the had the better chances, but the overall effort and possesion, moves, passes etc. where dominated by Liverpool.

Decision: It was only a matter of time before Liverpool won that one.

I was thinking of betting on an Everton win earlier today as well! £10 would have won £55!
