It's not my fault I haven't done anything with my life. Kinda puts it all into perspective writing your achievements down on paper though...
Strangely worrying.
Any advice?

Not unless you're going to somewhere like Oxford... The most important thing for the majority of Universities now is what your predicted grades are for your final A Levels. They want to know if it's worth offering you a place and the likelihood of you meeting the grades they want - however you don't actually see what your teachers are predicting, to some degree your GCSE's count as well - if you did badly in them then most application officers are going to have a hard time believing you've miracoulosly changed into a wonder student.
Pesonal statements count for pretty much nothing most places - I went to The University of Birmingham which needed 26 points under the old scheme to get in, and my personal statement was rubbish.
Grades count, not what you can write in a little box. most department heads at universities know what students are like and they know people get somewhat 'inventive' when doing things like this, so they go on grades really. Don't worry, just fill it in, seal it up, and get it in the system - the sooner it is in the faster your application goes, the faster you can see what places you get offered.

The actual deadline for them is the
> 15th Jan (as on the UCAS site) how stupid is that?
yup! I sent my UCAS application on that exact date this year! (applied electronically)
I actually started my Personal statement around October time but didnt get it finished till early January :)
anyway what did you decide to apply for Stryke? did you have a ton of stuff to link in your chosen course(like putting 'visited a theatre' if your doing English) or was it just about what you've done in general...?
*continues to worry*
Anyway, I don't even have a UCAS form, I was never around to be given one and I didn't even know what they were. I'll do one this time though, in case I want to go to uni in Leeds

Actually, if they don't do interviews, the personal statement is the main bit they use to decide if you're getting a place. No pressure or anything :D
Finished mine and sent it off 3 weeks ago. Make sure you put down any extracurricular stuff thats related to the topic you want to study.
It's annoying, but I have grades to get in easily
Still haven't started Personal Statement
